Sieg beim Dingolfinger Halbmarathon 2023

Victory at the Half Marathon in Dingolfing 2023

After a 13-year break, Tina Fischl completed the half marathon in Dingolfing again and took first place in the women’s overall standings.

In the end, with a finishing time of 1.22 hours, she was 13 minutes ahead of the runner-up.

Although the personal trainer from Fürstenstein has recently mostly shown her skills in various mountain runs, she wanted to be at the forefront of this flat city run as well.

She will certainly be on the starting line again in Dingolfing – probably not again for another 13 years.

Sensational victory for Tina Fischl at the 25th Mountain Attack in Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Sensational victory for Tina Fischl at the 25th Mountain Attack in Saalbach-Hinterglemm

The “Mountain Attack” in Saalbach is the biggest and toughest touring ski race in Austria. Three different routes took place: the Schattberg Race (1,017 altitude meters), the Tour (2,036 altitude meters, five summits) and the Marathon (3,010 altitude meters, six summits). Around 1,000 athletes from 15 nations took part.

The conditions were challenging, with cold temperatures of -5 degrees in the valley and -15 degrees on the Schattberg. The athletes started in Saalbach and walked about 400 meters in full touring ski gear to the ski slope at the foot of the Schattberg. The Schattberg, with a gradient of up to 70 percent, is notorious and even experienced athletes had difficulties mastering the steep slope. Some athletes even fell and lost their skis.

Tina Fischl, an experienced athlete, wanted to be on the podium again after winning the 2nd place last year. She overtook the leader and fought her way to the top, where she finally finished as the overall winner.

After the race, the athletes celebrated their achievements and were already planning for next year’s Mountain Attack. The whole team thanked the sponsors of the event.

Here are the results of the Mountain Attack team:

Schattberg-Race: Tina Fischl (1st place), Alex Fischl (10th place), Christian Altmann (29th place), Dominik Marold (39th place)

Tour-Distance: Hans Jörg Wagmann (95th place), Georg Kusser (108th place), Daniel Schmidbauer (154th place), Josef Kusser (72nd place 45+)

Victory at the Sauwald-Trail in Schardenberg

Tina Fischl unbeatable once again at the Sauwald-Trail

Only a few hours after her victory at the DHL Airport Nightrun in Linz, running ace Tina Fischl was at the start line of the Sauwald Trail in Schardenberg. For a long time, this very well-organized trail adventure in the Innviertel had been on the schedule of the mountain running specialist from Fürstenstein. Now, finally, nothing stood in the way. The well-known personal trainer decided here for the so-called Kösslbach Trail over 13 km with more than 300 meters in altitude. Immediately after the start at the sports field in Schardenberg, Fischl took the lead of the women’s field and set a fast pace. Already after about one kilometer into the course, where it went into the terrain, Fischl had a lead of several seconds over second-placed Martha Weber.

Along beautiful nature, the course led over forest and meadow paths with great views, before it went over a single trail into the Kösslbachtal. Here, too, the endurance specialist gave her competitors no chance and kept up the pressure. Even after about 9 km of the course, the runner of WSV Otterskirchen showed no weakness. The last hard climb up to the village of Asing had to be mastered now.

At the top her lead had grown to more than 2 minutes. The last kilometers back to Schardenberg then led again over beautiful trails in great scenery. Fischl of course didn’t let the lead slip away and crossed the finish line as the winner of the women’s classification with an excellent time of 1:02:58 hours.
Second place went to Martha Weber with a time of 1:05:26 hours.

Tina Fischl in an interview immediately after crossing the finish line:
“I am overjoyed that I could run a start-finish victory here today on the 13 km course, although I only slept 3 hours. Two victories within 12 hours – that has never happened to me before. Many thanks to the organizers of the event, it was really fun, and I will surely come again.”

DHL Linz Airport Nightrun – Tina Fischl runs low flying to the airport victory

DHL Linz Airport Nightrun – Tina Fischl runs low flying to the airport victory

A very special kind of running event took place at the airport in Linz during the night from June 30 to July 1, 2023. This major event, in which more than 2,000 male and female athletes were registered, is held in the middle of the airport’s runway. Immediately after the last plane arrived at 11:00 p.m., the runway was prepared for the athletes.

The start time at 0.00 a.m. certainly also was a very special challenge and really untypical for a running event of this kind.

All in all, a 5.0 km long circuit had to be mastered on the runway. The runway was not specially illuminated, so the runners had to concentrate very hard on the course, as the asphalt was slightly uneven.

The experienced exceptional runner Tina Fischl did not let all this upset her and was absolutely focused. Immediately after the starting signal Fischl ran behind the fastest men and none of the more than 700 starting women could follow up to her. Even after about half of the course Fischl didn’t want to leave anything to chance, she was almost alone at the head of the women’s field.

With an absolutely reasonable lead of over 1 minute Fischl flew towards the finish line and crossed the finish line overjoyed as the overall winner of the women in 18:07 min.

Fastest at the ‘Schafberglauf’ at lake Wolfgangsee

Fastest at the ‘Schafberglauf’ at lake Wolfgangsee

With a clear lead and a new course record the mountain running specialist Tina Fischl was able to achieve another great success. A total of 1,188 meters of altitude on a distance of 7.2 km had to be reached at Wolfgangsee. Tina Fischl had already run a victory at the Schafberg in the previous year and therefore already knew in advance that the run with an average of 15 percent slope will be very hard again.

The starting signal was given directly at the Schafberg train station in St. Wolfgang.

Right from the start away from the village, it got down to business. Some of the girls from Austria literally sprinted up the first steep climb. However, the experienced runner did not let herself be distracted by the high pace and played her experience to the full here. After the hectic first 1,000 meters of the course, Tina Fischl found her rhythm and at this point was in 2nd place overall in the women’s race. Fischl always had eye contact with the leading runner Isabell Speer from Austria and the steeper it got, the closer the mountain running specialist came to her. In a steep slope at kilometer 3, the German mountain running champion was then able to take the lead and continuously extended her advantage. The Austrian could no longer follow and had to let her go.

Overjoyed, personal trainer Tina Fischl crossed the finish line at the Schafbergspitze to the applause of the numerous spectators. The lead over her pursuer was just under one minute. Fischl was delighted to learn at the finish line that she had set a new course record, which was duly celebrated at the award ceremony.

Silver and gold at trail event in Italy at Monte Baldo

Silver and gold at trail event in Italy at Monte Baldo

For the endurance specialist Tina Fischl, WSV Otterskirchen, a special highlight, the ASICS Malcesine Monte Baldo Trail, on the beautiful Lake Garda, was once again on the agenda last weekend.

The technical course with a length of 16 km and 1,200 altitude meters led from the picturesque village of Malcesine steeply up the western flank of Monte Baldo to the middle station at 713 m above sea level. From here the athletes had a beautiful view of the Lago del Garda. In a breathtaking nature it went on in partly very stony terrain on narrow paths and single trails, steadily up and down.

In beautiful weather with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius and sunshine, the runner from Fürstenstein was able to take the lead from the start and then extended the lead in the climb up to the middle station to about 1 min. In the difficult rocky downhills, however, Fischl had some problems and had to slow down a bit. As a result, the Italian Andrea Schweigkofer/Sportclub Merano was able to run up and immediately take the lead. Tina Fischl tried everything to keep up with the high speed on the difficult trails, but of course she didn’t want to risk a bad fall.

In the further passages over stick and stone it then went back again in the direction of Malcesine before a further Downhill of approx. 3 km length led down over narrow ways to the goal in the local center of Malcesine. Here the runners were welcomed by many spectators.

Tina Fischl was able to finish only a few seconds behind the Italian Andrea Schweigkofer with a time of 1:48 hrs. and took an excellent 2nd place in the overall race and 1st place in her age group.

Gold for Tina Fischl at the city run in Mattighofen

Gold for Tina Fischl at the city run in Mattighofen

With best outside conditions with sunshine and temperatures around 16 degrees, the 38th MATTIGHOFENER SPARKASSEN-STADTLAUF – a 10 km circuit with 2 crispy climbs – took place in the Upper Austrian Innviertel.

The TSV Mattighofen organized a top event again and the atmosphere in the town square was very good, when at precisely 5 pm the starting signal of the main race for approx. 400 sportsmen was fired.
Right from the start, Tina Fischl set a very high pace and showed the competition that here and today she will be the one to win this race. The experienced athlete and personal trainer of the WSV Otterskirchen managed her race well and was able to quickly extend her lead lap after lap.

The great atmosphere on the course, especially on the short, steep climbs, literally inspired the athletes.
Tina also increased her speed on the last climb before she was loudly welcomed by the many spectators in the town square as the fastest lady in the race. With her time of 37.42 min Fischl missed her 2019 course record by only 2 seconds. Arriving at the finish line, the exceptional athlete was able to celebrate her sovereign start-finish victory. The athlete from Fürstenstein was happy and satisfied with the result achieved at this superbly organized event and thanked all her friends and supporters.

Victory at the Expert Trail up the holy mountain

Tina Fischl runs in as overall winner at Andechs Monastery

The area around the Andechs Monastery, which is visible from afar on the Holy Mountain above the eastern shore of Lake Ammersee, was once again the venue for a very special trail event on the last weekend of April 2023.

In fantastic weather with almost summer-like temperatures, a total of around 500 athletes set off on the fantastic trails around the Klosterberg.

On the so-called Expert Trail course, the athletes, including endurance specialist Tina Fischl, had to master a challenging 16 km with crisp climbs and great downhills.

Tina Fischl, who started for WSV Otterskirchen, was already able to celebrate a victory on the expert course in 2018. This year Fischl wanted to build on the last success and set a very high pace right from the start. None of her competitors could follow. Even in the extremely demanding tails, which were partly very muddy due to the rain of the past days, the runner from Fürstenstein was able to gain further ground and extend her lead.

With an excellent time of 1:18:30 hrs. and more than 2min. 30 sec. ahead of the second runner, personal trainer Tina Fischl was able to celebrate her second overall victory in the castle courtyard of Andechs Monastery.
