Fastest at the ‘Schafberglauf’ at lake Wolfgangsee

Fastest at the ‘Schafberglauf’ at lake Wolfgangsee

With a clear lead and a new course record the mountain running specialist Tina Fischl was able to achieve another great success. A total of 1,188 meters of altitude on a distance of 7.2 km had to be reached at Wolfgangsee. Tina Fischl had already run a victory at the Schafberg in the previous year and therefore already knew in advance that the run with an average of 15 percent slope will be very hard again.

The starting signal was given directly at the Schafberg train station in St. Wolfgang.

Right from the start away from the village, it got down to business. Some of the girls from Austria literally sprinted up the first steep climb. However, the experienced runner did not let herself be distracted by the high pace and played her experience to the full here. After the hectic first 1,000 meters of the course, Tina Fischl found her rhythm and at this point was in 2nd place overall in the women’s race. Fischl always had eye contact with the leading runner Isabell Speer from Austria and the steeper it got, the closer the mountain running specialist came to her. In a steep slope at kilometer 3, the German mountain running champion was then able to take the lead and continuously extended her advantage. The Austrian could no longer follow and had to let her go.

Overjoyed, personal trainer Tina Fischl crossed the finish line at the Schafbergspitze to the applause of the numerous spectators. The lead over her pursuer was just under one minute. Fischl was delighted to learn at the finish line that she had set a new course record, which was duly celebrated at the award ceremony.

Silver and gold at trail event in Italy at Monte Baldo

Silver and gold at trail event in Italy at Monte Baldo

For the endurance specialist Tina Fischl, WSV Otterskirchen, a special highlight, the ASICS Malcesine Monte Baldo Trail, on the beautiful Lake Garda, was once again on the agenda last weekend.

The technical course with a length of 16 km and 1,200 altitude meters led from the picturesque village of Malcesine steeply up the western flank of Monte Baldo to the middle station at 713 m above sea level. From here the athletes had a beautiful view of the Lago del Garda. In a breathtaking nature it went on in partly very stony terrain on narrow paths and single trails, steadily up and down.

In beautiful weather with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius and sunshine, the runner from Fürstenstein was able to take the lead from the start and then extended the lead in the climb up to the middle station to about 1 min. In the difficult rocky downhills, however, Fischl had some problems and had to slow down a bit. As a result, the Italian Andrea Schweigkofer/Sportclub Merano was able to run up and immediately take the lead. Tina Fischl tried everything to keep up with the high speed on the difficult trails, but of course she didn’t want to risk a bad fall.

In the further passages over stick and stone it then went back again in the direction of Malcesine before a further Downhill of approx. 3 km length led down over narrow ways to the goal in the local center of Malcesine. Here the runners were welcomed by many spectators.

Tina Fischl was able to finish only a few seconds behind the Italian Andrea Schweigkofer with a time of 1:48 hrs. and took an excellent 2nd place in the overall race and 1st place in her age group.

The rehabilitation of the infirmary is also a big step forward.

It is nice to know that the project not only offers short-term solutions, but also gives the people in the village long-term perspectives for the future.

Job application training at the GMS Eging

Job application training at the GMS Eging

We are pleased to be able to offer regular job application trainings for the pupils of the primary and secondary school in Eging.
Our goal is to provide young people with the practical insights and skills they need for a successful start to professional life.
In class, we first talk about how important it is to have a well-structured application that contains all the relevant information. The application folders are brought along to the application training session.
Another important aspect is preparing for a job interview with various interview techniques and personal presentation skills.
The practice interview is conducted by an experienced employee from our company’s HR department in order to provide participants with valuable practical tips and to be able to point out possible questions and the best answers to them.
We firmly believe that this training will help preparing students for the challenges of the job market and at the same time give them valuable insights into our company and the career opportunities we offer.
We would like to thank the student groups for their interest and commitment and hope that we can continue to help young people on their way into the world of work in the future.

Company tour for the school ‘GMS Eging’

Company tour for the school ‘GMS Eging’

On Wednesday, 30.11.2022 the 8th classes and two teachers of the school ‘GMS Eging’ visited metron eging GmbH for a company tour.

During the interesting lecture and presentation of Mr. Matthias Kainz, the pupils learned a lot about the company, the possible apprenticeships and their requirements and activities.

He also emphasized the importance of internships or vacation work in order to get to know the desired training properly and to make the right choice for their own professional future. A big advantage of metron eging is that you can try out several different professions in only one company.

Particularly captivating was the compiled film about some trade fairs and events that metron eging has carried out. Through the time lapses, one could witness how such a trade fair stand is created.

Before the tour of the company started, the guests enjoyed butter pretzels and drinks.

Many impressions were gathered during the tour. The pupils were given the opportunity to visit all departments, observe employees and clarify many questions. They also learned about the machine equipment and our trainees gave a vivid presentation of their respective professions.

Afterwards, everyone came together again for a joint question and answer session. After all questions had been answered, the classes were bid farewell with a final group photo and gift bags.

We are looking forward to further visits and to welcoming some interns and soon also new apprentices next year.
