Job and training fair „HoamatJob“
Following the great success of the first year, the “HoamatJob” job and training fair took place in Eging am See at the metron eging site on 8th & 9th March 2024. We received great encouragement and support from politicians, regional companies, vocational schools, the employment agency, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Crafts and other associations.
Anyone who registered at hoamatjob.de could become an exhibitor. In addition to the platform for exhibitors, we offered a varied and informative supporting program.

Sustainable energy supply through wind power
The metron eging GmbH is consistently pursuing the path of sustainable energy supply.
This is why a wind turbine is being erected on our company premises which not only secures our energy supply, but also represents an important step towards environmental protection.
Our wind turbine is part of our strategy to focus on renewable energy. At the same time, we have also integrated a charging park for electric vehicles to promote electromobility and offer an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional transportation.
This initiative which combines the generation of clean energy and the promotion of electromobility, is not only future-oriented but also a practical example of how companies can actively contribute to climate protection.

National best honor for the best German exam participant 2023
The DIHK (German Chamber of Industry and Commerce) organizes the “National Best Honors” where the best graduates from all over Germany are honored.
These award winners are the respective best in their profession and have prevailed among nearly 300,000 participants in the 2023 winter and summer examinations.
This award ensures that they have the very best prerequisites for a successful start to their professional future.
Among them is our employee Mr. Marcus Huber, who received a final grade of 1.1 at the vocational school in Wasserburg in his training as a technical product designer – specializing in product design and construction – and whose Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination certificate was rated “very good” (98 out of 100 points).
As a company, we are proud to give young people the opportunity to develop their skills and talents and enhance their career opportunities.
Our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Marcus Huber for his outstanding achievements. We hope that we can continue to help supporting young people on their way into the professional world in the future.
Chamber of Industry and Commerce Award for the Best in Exam 2023
The Lower Bavarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce honors former trainees from all districts of Lower Bavaria for their outstanding achievements in the last examination round.
The best apprentices in their respective professions in Lower Bavaria are honored in particular.
Among them, our employees Mr. Marcus Huber and Ms. Sarah Schwender in the profession of technical product designer.
As a company, we are proud to give young people the opportunity to develop their skills and talents and improve their career opportunities.
We would like to congratulate Mr. Huber and Ms. Schwendner for their excellent achievements and hope that we can continue to help young people on their way into the professional world in the future.

Open house on 25th September
On Sunday, 25th September, we celebrated our 25th anniversary and success story with an open house. At metron eging in Grafenauer Str. 16+18 all interested parties were able to take a look behind the scenes from 10 am to 6 pm and experience how a trade fair stand and everything that goes with it is created.
There was plenty of action and a great supporting program.
We thank you for your numerous attendance at our open day and are looking forward to our next meeting.
metron eging GmbH wants to additionally rely on wind power
The green party member of the state parliament Mr. Toni Schuberl visited us and informed himself about our current projects. Our managing directors Matthias and Christian Kainz reported on the plan to erect a small wind turbine at the plant. More than a quarter of the company’s energy needs are already covered by photovoltaic systems. Now the wind turbine is to have a complementary effect, even if only on a small scale.
Mr. Schuberl welcomed the initiative and lamented the state government’s policy of obstruction so far. “If all larger companies would try to produce as much of the energy they need themselves with their own plants, we would already have made a huge step in the energy transition”. In addition, the company’s own electricity would be less affected by fluctuations in energy prices.

metron eging provides spectatcular trade fair appearances – anniversary celebration
It all began in the rented “Eder-Halls” on the outskirts of Eging am See. On a modest 500 square meters and with 15 employees, the vision of revolutionizing trade fair construction started.
25 years later, metron eging is in action worldwide for renowned customers from the automotive sector and other industries. We are happy about the report to our 25th anniversary.

Shuttle service for employees
We introduced a free shuttle service for our employees to and from work.
Around the company site in Eging, employees are offered carpools in almost all directions.
The employee buses were introduced as a measure against high fuel prices in order to support our employees. Though, we also noticed other positive effects such as team building, sustainability and environmental protection. Moreover, it’s a great opportunity for trainees without a driver’s license to be mobile for work.

We are pleased that we have been able to master this path so successfully as a family business. We have also emerged stronger from the pandemic, which naturally hit us hard as a globally active trade show manufacturer. Our company name metron comes from the Greek and means “measure”. In this sense: Let us continue to measure up over the next 25 years and let us live our visions together!
Corona test stations | Corona vaccination bus | Corona vaccination center
Together with the IMS Rettungsdienst GmbH, we equipped several test stations (Passau-Straubing-Cham-Freyung) in 2020. At the turn of the year and at the start of Corona vaccinations, we converted vaccination buses and expanded vaccination centers. You can find the articles in the Passauer Neue Presse here.
metron eging GmbH welcomes new trainees in 2020
Five new trainees (Verena Höller, Tobias Gottal, Nico Stefos, Sandro Winter [not in the photo], Marcus Huber) started their company training with metron eging GmbH on 1st September 2020 in the professions office communications clerk, construction mechanic,
IT specialist for system integration, warehouse logistics specialist and technical product designer. On the very first day they received an extensive company presentation from our trainer Mr. Claus Pflie as well as a company tour and they also got to know the departmental managers. After being welcomed by the management Christian and Matthias Kainz and a safety briefing, they were “released” to their departments. The next day all trainees and their instructors put their climbing skills to the test in the climbing forest Waldkirchen according to company tradition.
A total of 18 trainees are now working for metron eging. We wish all of them joy and success during their time with us.
ISO Certificates
In August 2020 we were able to complete a successful monitoring audit for the standards DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 at the main location in Eging.
China Award
We were also able to complete the rating grade AAA (triple A) in China. This result counts as the highest rating result that can be awarded, whereby ability, quality and creditworthiness are checked.
We are pleased with the result and would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our colleagues in China!
Coronavirus COVID-19
We, company metron eging GmbH, want to submit our comment to the current economic situation.
Due to various last-minute cancellations/postponements of fairs and events our product planning is turned upside down and is no longer feasible as originally intended. This does not only affect upcoming activities but likewise the whole year-round event calendar. We basically have to assume that the whole order situation will be postponed to a later date or in the worst case we have to face a general decrease in orders for the fiscal year 2020.
With considerable organizational effort, a large part of our external production activities were scaled back significantly in order to utilize our own in-house production. This adversely affects the local companies with whom we have a trustful cooperation for 20 years now and which we attach great importance to. However, our primary aim is to ensure the safety of our employees and to secure the production site at the headquarters in Eging. Based on the measures taken, we are able to offer our employees secured employment and safeguard the current economic situation of metron eging GmbH.
We, company metron eging GmbH, hope that we can count on the support of the federal government for the sake of the whole region, the affected companies and the infrastructure.
We consider measures for securing liquidity and tax breaks appropriate in order to protect the assets, finances and earnings of the local companies and to safeguard employment.

Metron eging GmbH is introducing itself as an apprenticeship company with a booth designed, constructed, built and assembled by our own trainees.
We are very proud to train and employ such eager and hard-working people in our company.
